The soundtrack of this game was one of its best features. Absolutely immersive and grand.

I was playing Rise of Nations a while back and wondered why there weren't more games like it. Then I sort of realized there don't have to be, it's still a great game and hasn't aged badly in any sense.

This is one of the best soundtrack, if not the best in any strategy game ever !

The music in this game was absolutely iconic even if it doesn't have the technical quality of other games around that time. Battle at Witch creek playing while the world was being blown apart by nuclear weapons made for some great and unforgettable moments.

Zade: "the music fades in the background"
Me: *can't concentrate during the video because of the awesomeness of the soundtrack*

I disagree with the soundtrack, the soundtrack is probably the best in any game

I remember seeing one of my friends older brothers playing this in like 2008, and I had fallen in love instantly. Oh the amount of time I’ve put into this game

7 nations on warring states with no nukes script on, 8 hours later i finally had enough resources to call a peace treaty and then alliance to split the win with the OP computer, this game will never get boring for me!

I was around 7 when my dad came home with this game, still remember when he was showing it to my brother and I. Being the only T rated game I could play, I played it pretty often and I continue to play to this day. Great game!

RoN is one of my favorite games ever. I spent countless hours playing it. This game is very well made, even better if you have the expansion.

I had a friend who loved RTS games, and I just used to see him playing those games.

Then one day he got Age of Mythology with its sequel from somewhere. I was so much impressed, because there was mythology involved, so I asked him if I can borrow it once he finishes the game story.

But when he gave me the game box, he instead gave me Rise of Nations CD instead, since he displaced both the CD boxes. I checked on internet and found out that the expansion also allows you to play as India. Age of Mythology would have been my technically first game, but instead Rise of Nations became my first game.

One month later, he indeed gave me the correct CDs of Age of Mythology and I had fun playing that game also
