Montserrat Volcano Update; Increasing Unrest Observed

One of the Caribbean's most potentially dangerous volcanoes is displaying a long term increase in earthquakes and fumarole temperatures. This is occurring at the Soufrière Hills volcano on the island of Montserrat, which if this increase continues for several more years (potentially decades) might eventually lead to a new volcanic eruption.
