Just like a certain youtuber said: Unreal Engine 5 makes indie games look like AAA games

This game is going to be used for training and for purposes of PTSD trauma treatment. People can freak out a bit at how real it is, but sometimes that is a requirement.

I'm super impressed at Officer Cano's ability to critique these games. He is 100% right about how Ready or Not's AI have a functional aimbot. Usually with these experts, they can offer input from their chosen field but struggle a bit to translate their expertise into how a game could be changed to not only be more realistic but to improve the gameplay, and Officer Cano seems to see both angles.

If this game is like this now.. imagine in 5-10 years how future games will look. Need a future proof rig from now

Unrecord looks like it could be quite an experience.

And Ready Or Not after, has a bright future if the devs keep supporting it which sounds they will after their break.

I think this works so well because it simulates a camera. This is the kind of footage we're expecting from a camera so it looks so real, when you are in a "normal" game it doesn't look right because of the lack of depth perception etc.
There are bodycam mods for other shooters which kinda achieve the same effect, though Unrecord does have really good graphics that helps a lot with that too

U know this dude plays ready or not when he’s complaining about the cracked ai. All the suspects in that game apparently have 2000 hours of training

I'm still waiting for someone to come out and say this was actually an independent movie cause, dude, this is scary realistic.

I've been playing Ready or Not for a while now, the latest AI update is REALLY smart. Squad members watch their lines of fire properly, don't flag each other, different stacks depending on the door and surroundings, hold rear security, different breach methods, and the enemy AI is just as brutal. You go to arrest them and they pull a knife so you have to stay focussed on making arrests and watch your surroundings. Intense game and some of the scenes are straight nightmare fuel, not for the faint of heart.

(Unrecord/1. Shown Game) For those who think it is fake, it is a real game. The dev posted proof in a second video. Look it up. And secondly its mostly about rendering. Grafics these days are getting easier to render because they start to use less and less resources while the grafics still go up. It's insane. And the animations are good but u can tell they are not real. Reminds me of Escape from Tarkov. Also the lighting does the most part of showing something realistic. And because it is a small industrial hall we see here, it is absolutely possible for a small dev group to work on this.

To see some people here on copium or beeing american ☕️ i guess makes me laugh hard.

Gameplay in the second half is from Ready or Not. Seen it multiple times now, some channels dont explain they are 2 different games.

sadly the real game wont look anything like this, this is a tech demo, there is a lot of fancy smoke and mirror techniques going on that wouldnt hold up in real gameplay, if you go frame by frame a lot starts to fall apart, most of the assets have the errors you get from 3d/mega scans, also you have to remember some of the other Unreal Engine Tech demos, the one that comes to mind is the Star Wars Ray Tracing demo from like 10 years ago, that tech demo still looks leaps and bounds better than anything on the market today

The visuals are there, this game is going to need a very great musical score

Unlike The Day Before, this game actually looks like this. You can find proof of how it's made and such.

Realism doesn't always perfectly translate into gaming, despite best efforts, certain things in real life become extremely fiddly to manage in a game. For example in real life you can control your arm and hands separate from your head, to do so in a game requires somewhat convoluted control schemes that tend to be annoying to engage with. For some games hyper-realism is the selling point, targeting people who are looking more for the simulation genre, the problem for these games is that the majority of people don't play games for that reason, they do it to escape, to have fun, to hang out with friends, etc. and for many such realism simply isn't enjoyable. These two games are trying to go for realism, and they'll find their target audience, but just because these games are attempting to become the most realistic in the genre doesn't suddenly mean all other games will be held to that standard, because most other games are not trying to be realistic, they're trying to be fun, which often comes at a compromise to complete realism. Not everyone wants uber-realistic graphics and gameplay mechanics, and more realistic doesn't inherently make something better across the board.

If Chris is willing and only if, he should react to Deppart which is a demo horror game that uses very similar techniques to Unrecord

What’s even more impressive is that one dude made all of this, just threw it together as far as I know
