Suspect charged with deadly double shooting in Kannapolis

Nearly two weeks after a deadly double shooting near a Kannapolis business unfolded, police say they've made an arrest.

The Kannapolis Police Department arrested 34-year-old Mark Marion Herron on Saturday, Jan. 20, charging him with first-degree murder and assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury. He was taken into custody at a hotel in Charlotte and taken back to Cabarrus County.
