Sounds like it’s used through their app and hopefully locally stored on the phone and not cloud stored. Why can’t people just make a device with an sd card slot or internal storage, everything’s gotta be smart and cloud stored nowadays. People trust companies way too much with their data when most likely the company is selling their data or at the least doesn’t protect it well at all.

Everybody is saying it’s illegal to record phone calls. Whatever. Sometimes you record things you need to remember. Like calling for appointments, scheduling services, setting reservations, etc. or you just want to record a conversation that will contain details you’ll need to remember. Were not talking felonious usage, here so settle down.

All my calls on my android phone have already been recorded for years now. That too by the inbuilt call recorder. 😂😂😂

Remember when recording phone calls was a software feature? My old xiaomi redmi note 3 pro still does. Then it got software patched because it "violates privacy rights". That was single-handedly the best phone feature imo. Saved so much hassle. Now this is over-engineered with AI so it became an entire new niche for the capitalists to earn money with. This can also be said for many of our dear EU's regulations? Apple not allowed their exclusive charging ports? Adding a plethora of new standards and garbage connector brands. Removable batteries? An entire new industrial chain needed to repurpose future phones. Covid? Vaccines, masks and disinfectants. And yes, the last one may be just a conspiracy theory, but it does seem plausible.

I agree with the top comment. Our phones should already be able to do this and it’s bs that it can’t.

Personally though I could really use something like this as I take a lot of business calls and it would be nice to have notes of my calls afterwards. It would save me so much time.

As someone with ADHD, I see this being extremely valuable, despite its controversial nature. With ADHD, it’s not uncommon to be face to face with someone and, while they’re talking away, telling a detailed story, to be thinking about whether or not you started the dishwasher or left a light on, or something else that’s entirely unrelated, often with little to no control over here the mind’s eye is focused. So I think, assuming you aren’t recording in a situation where privacy is assumed, I think this device could be quite helpful. I think the ChatGPT integration is nice as well as long all summaries are generated manually rather than it automatically sending every conversation recording to ChatGPT. With ADHD and other attention-related mental disorders, it can be extremely difficult to focus on reading an entire transcript, so having summaries is also very helpful.
