Plastic is better, cheaper to replace, less brittle, scratches only really matter if you are a neat freak for aesthetics

I mean....scratches are usually superficial damage and can be protected fairly cheaply with skins/clear protector, while drop shattering glass usually look a lot worse and cost a lot more.

Typically I don't try to scratch my phone or chisel into it but I'll still keep this advice in mind
