heres how to actually pet a cat (a stray cat or a cat that doesnt know u)

steps:

1. Walk up to the cat slowly. But stay a few metres away from them or they might run

2. slowly lean and sit down that way u can appear smaller so that they dont get frightened.

3. slowly move ur hand to their face and let them sniff you.

4. After they sniffed you, slowly move ur hand to their head/cheeks and slowly pet

5. If they tend to love ur petting then pet them in the cheeks/under chin because thats where they love it the most and they are sure to pur if you do so 💗

(if the cat doesnt like being pet, then its better to let them be. Don't even force a cat. )
