I didn’t see hoarding . I saw the process of packing up a lifetime . There was definitely work to be done to update it and you did a beautiful job inside and out .

Don't like the " wood wall" or the half way weird kitchen tile....

His house had wayyy too much stuff in it and there clearly was a problem but this wasn’t hoarding. Hoarding is a mental health illness and he was agreeable to the change.

I like most of the choices except the kitchen backsplash. I would rather have more upper cabinets. Why would you do all of that landscaping work, but not grind down the stumps?

Probably the most unusual renovation they have ever done. What were they smoking when doing the tiling????

What about the condition of the plumbing, electrical, foundation, roof and furnace? A house like that usually needs updating and they didn't mention any of them. That house was neglected for years.

He was not a hoarder. That was really rude to put in the title. This is what any lifetime home would look like when packing up to move.

He wasn't a hoarder, just decades of things that accumulate in a large house. Interesting that they think that the green Brady Bunch color is contemporary LOL. Nice transformation, except for the unfinished looking tile in the kitchen and the lack of overhead cupboards or shelves.

Agree with the comments about not truly being a hoarder.

Beautiful transformation! But the destruction of the rhododendrons broke my heart.

This is one of the best before and after episodes. The house truly shines after the reno, it looks so attractive and brand-new, especially because of the landscaping and the front deck. Since they touched everything about the house, and there was no weird or fru-fru decor, I can see why they were able to sell so quickly and so well. Leslie and Lyndsay's business model is outstanding!

One of my favorite house transformations on HGTV. I would live there!

The Reno was great! But not even close to a hoarder home. If you want photos of one, I can accommodate you with some. Took me two full months working like a dog to get my parents home good enough for me to turn it over to my sibling to finish their portion. If I had stayed I would have had another month of cleaning. 🥵 Can’t say my sibling worked at the same pace.

What did they do to that big japanese maple?? at about 14:36 it looks like they literally cut off every limb! And pulled out all the rhododendrons?? so awful.

I love the styling, contemporary earthy. In love with that shower. To remodel 2.5 baths for 20K is impossible though, particularly to those standards, unless this is their co. and do it at noprofit, just materials. contracting someone those numbers are impossible

As far as hoarders' houses go this one is pretty tame.

If he was hoarding, well, it's hard to accept all the changes. He did very well. I think the way they styled the house contributed to that, because they didn't paint it white and use gray, etc. That probably would have been very jarring to him.
