Also, I will continue to use the term "solar generator". We discussed this in the community section of this channel, in case you missed it:

Definition of a Generator: a machine that converts one form of energy into another, especially mechanical energy into electrical energy, as a dynamo, or electrical energy into sound, as an acoustic generator.

So it takes one form of energy, and turns it into another. So in this instance:

-A gasoline generator takes energy from the sun, stored in molecular bonds (over millions of years with photosynthesis), converts this chemical energy into mechanical energy with combustion, and then converts it a final time to create AC power.

-A solar power system uses the velocity of a photon to push electrons across a semiconductor junction, causing energy potential across a conductor which then charges a battery. The battery then powers a high efficiency inverter to create AC power.

So in both instances, sunshine goes in, electricity goes out.

What is interesting to think about, is that a gasoline generator is like a battery. And it does not create power on its own. A solar power system can actually generate power from the source:

-A gasoline generator takes stored energy and changes its form (so it is technically still a "generator" by definition), but it does not create its own power directly from the sun.

-A solar power system creates energy potential on its own from photons directly, and stores it, then outputs it at a usable voltage for consumer electronics. Sunshine goes in, electricity comes out.

It is a solar generator. It is a simple marketing term that has stuck, and I like to use it. If you can find a way to disagree with me and substantiate your claim, please do so below.

I just received mine last week with an extra battery pack (4 kWh total rating) and so far so good. It's a beast. I have 800 watts of solar panels and it handles them with ease. It has 2 MPPT controllers that can utilize a total of up to 2000 watts of solar. It allows up to 145V of series connected panels so you could easily run a 5S 2P panel array into each controller to get a total of 2000 watts of solar charging capability. It can even take a 6S 2P array on each controller if you want to achieve 2000 watts in less than ideal sun conditions. I went with HQST panels at $80 per panel because they were a lot cheaper than the ones sold in a bundled kit with the Titan. The panels work great. The Titan''s battery pack cost is on par with Battle Born batteries ($/kWh), and the 3000W inverter with 2 high capability MPPT controllers makes it very competitive with individual components. The convenience of stackable batteries with no extra wiring make it a great fit for portable setups in RV usage. As Will states, time will tell how well they hold up, but so far I am very impressed with the unit build quality and happy with the purchase. The only downside was the back order status. I had to wait over 3 months for my unit, but the vendors's communication was great along the way.

Hi everyone
No matter how many of these vids I listen to, I'm still not getting it.

This man is a genius... professional, no blabbering nonsense or irritating blingy music. Wish I could understand though.
I'm sure hes super busy to answer questions.
Does anyone know what solar generator is good for a not too bright woman with no mechanical skills traveling sometimes alone in a conversion van who would prefer 2000 watts power but won't be staying more than 2 nights in any one spot.
