Games I Don't Plan To Make: Relativity Paramedic

Here's an idea I had but decided not to pursue: a game based on the twin paradox that arises from Einstein's theory of special relativity. If you travel very fast away from someone, then come back, less time has passed for you than for them.

So what if you drove a spaceship ambulance designed to take terminally ill patients into deep space at relativistic speeds, to make time pass slower for them than for the research facilities on their homeworld that are looking for a cure?

It shows how the turnaround moment creates the disparity in the time that's passed for you and your origin.

I think the latter half of this idea turned into HeatSig xD  Catching up with ships speeding through space to board them!

You should check out A Slower Speed of Light! It's a first-person prototype game developed at MIT dealing with the visual effects of relativistic speeds.

Crap. I don't get it. I am always thinking in "normal" speeds, assuming a universal time like when you move away from a sonic wave at the speed of sound and moving back, the Dopper Effect kicks in and you start hearing a low frequency or nothing, then get a sonic boom and the super-fast high-pitched stuff you've been missing. Light is different but even following the link plus playing the MIT game I don't understand how it works.
Talked to a physician about Lorentz Transformation... can't grasp.
