The BEST video I’ve watched so far regarding cpap therapy! I’m now encouraged to stick with it.😊

It's good to hear a board certified specialist who endorses mouth tape as a possible option for dealing with mouth breathing and dryness.. There's too much misinformation about taping in the other direction.

I sleep on my
Side and wake onetime in the night too go to the bathroom. I usually wake because of the mask leaking then I have too pee. When going back to bed I’m too tired too fuss with putting my CPAP back on. So I don’t use it for a couple hours after going back to bed. I also live in a very dry area and the mouth wash you mentioned helps. I use the nose piece not the full mask I felt claustrophobic with the full mask and found myself pulling it off while i slept. The nose piece works great when I fall asleep. But then blows are a few hours later. I stay in one position all night and don’t move.. but it eventually starts blowing air out of the nose piece .

How about someone who simply cannot keep the mask on? For this person, the nasal mask works best and they cannot tolerate the full face mask. He has tried the chin strap, but the mask consistently falls off each night before even the 4 hours.

Air escaping through 👄 due to pressure. Even though jaw is fully closed (using just nasal piece) the pressure blows the 👄 apart. The solution you said is taping 👄 shut. Well, that’s fine and dandy for gals and the very few guys who don’t have beards and staches, which most do today. So tape is out. Any other suggestions for keeping the 👄 closed…?

I have a new mask but it kept leaking and I kept tightening it throughout the night but when I woke up the bridge of my nose hurt and was bruised. I haven't used it since.

I have a problem of getting congested every time I use the CPAP machine my nose gets dry and congested. Then I breathe through my mouth and my mouth gets very dry. I watch this video, but I didn’t really see a solution for that. I have fixed it humidifier on my CPAP machine, I also rinse my nose with saline water and use nasal spray but no that stuff helps. I was watching this video to find a solution to my problem but then again explanation didn’t really help. Thank you for this video though.
