Its GOTY contender only for Destiny players, no one else cares because no one knows the story. That's why the expansion was good.

Others would have to catch up on a 10 year story to call it GOTY, and a lot of Destiny history was a "You had to be there" moment.

Bungie had a deal with Activision that would have given them a 2.5$ Million Bonus if Destiny 1 had received a 90+ Ranking. It took Bungie 10 years and 10 releases to manage to get to that number...

In my own little "head canon" I'd like to believe Shaw Han had a duty to stay behind and raise the new lights in case the guardian, vanguard, and their allies somehow failed.

I got a theory on our guardians grave....I believe Crows wish prevented us from dying as we had lost our ghost...but because of the wish we got our light back. Like we were supposed to lose our light/ghost at the end of final shape and eventually die but...Crows clutch ass wish prevented that.

The reason the forsaken reviews were low was because it became the Forsaken pack. Before that, it was like 80% or so, from what I recall, but I don't remember how high it was.

Another point that people aren’t talking about is that everytime Cayde was told about what happened in the Sol system after his death, he sounded like he felt that he wasn’t needed anymore. Nothing really happened in destiny UNTIL he died. Once Cayde died the story started to move and progress and everytime we told “we took care of this and that “ he was like “oh…..g-good job!….” Cayde is not needed anymore. Cayde in many ways caused more damage to the characters psychologically than dead. Everyone got over it and moved on and like he said then he comes back and reopens wounds. Cayde CHOOSING to die is different than Uldren taking him away

The scene where Cayde revives our ghost was actually foreshadowed after the 1st mission when Ghost stated Cayde might be able to give the light to others.

The traveler isnt even the gardener. The traveler is a pawn brought up as part of the new rule the gardener implemented into the flower game. The witness was the first knife of the winnower, the traveler, the instrument sent by the gardener to create and expand life way beyond gridlock. We are but tiny specs in an infinite plane of existence. Mind=blown
