there is noting "superhuman" about telling her fellow police officer to "chill with the abuse". Stupid defense.

Her defense attorney said. "She had no time to intervene, because she was actively participating in the struggle". He basically is admitting that she should be charged with assault, attempted murder, and civil rights violations. The only struggle was the one they created.

This is how it’s done. Hold them accountable and eventually the behavior will change. 👍

Her lawyer: “ She is actively participating in this struggle”.

Jurors: “I think we’re done here”.

Failure to intervene should be a Felony and carry an automatic and permanent ban from any form of Law Enforecement as well as any form of security....including loss prevention for retail stores.

Police should do their job the right way, or not at all.

Lawyer: "She is actively participating in this struggle" Then she should get the same sentence as him...

What's even more ridiculous is that police think they have the right to be hands on like this..

So her lawyer said she didn't have time to intervene since she was "actively participating" in the abuse....sounds like Aurora's best !

Delighted she was found guilty. When an illegal attack is being carried out by a fellow officer, she has not just a legal right to intervene, but a moral obligation to intervene.

She HELPED him beat that poor man. She deserves prison and nothing less. Make examples of these unfeeling monsters.

She should never be allowed to work in law Enforcement again

How is telling a fellow cop to stop repeatedly pistol whipping someone an “impossible standard”?

She shouldn't be able to be a cop in any state! And 18 months isn't long enough, needs to be 18 years!

I don't think the defense of "she was actively participating in this struggle" plays how they thought it would. That almost seems like an admission of guilt for a more serious crime.

I would like to ask her lawyer, how is it being held to an impossible standard just to say STOP. What is impossible about that? The TV reporter says she could face up to 18 months. Well I guarantee despite her pleading not guilty in the trial but ultimately being found guilty by the jury she will still be given the normal law enforcement deal by the judge. Expect probation.

I hope this is a wake up call for other officers. They have a unspoken word to never intervene who is running the stop and arrest. This is fantastic.

I want to see more police officers arrested for failure to intervene. maybe that would help at least slow down the amount of excessive force cases out there.

Defence lawyer burned his case when he said "shes activly participating in the arrest" that stat, ment alone says she should have been charged with the assault and attempted murder of the so called suspect. This is exactly the problem people have with cops today, abuse of power. Their shoiuldnt even be a law to charge a cop for not intervierring in the unlawful; arrest and assault of a suspect....we already have those laws ..what needs to happen is cops need to be charged with the actual crimes not soft padded laws that lets them commit bigger crimes and down charge the real crime later. the crime is assault/accessory to the fact, she was an active participant not a bystander

It happened so fast that she didn't have time to react. Nor did she have the time to report the use of force at any point after the incident, even though the officers that arrived after had the time to see that the suspect had been severely beaten and report it (which is how they got caught). I truly hope she has a bad time in prison.

She should also be tried for participating in the unlawful use of force! Her own attorney said it himself that she was actively participating in the unlawful arrest!
