*Love it! Keeps the room very **Fastly.Cool** . The manual states it comes with a year warranty and 5 year part replacement. The compressor makes the typical sound...small price to pay for AC.*

Damn, i must really be stupid... lol I have worked on replacing the remote receiver on this darn fan in our bedroom. I figured out that was the problem with the fan and light not working... I got the new remote and receiver, took the old one out of the fan and wired it back up to the new receiver.. I did a test with the receiver hanging on the outside.. It worked perfectly!!! I was so happy, brought the wife in to show her how good of a job I had just done... The fan turned on, changed speeds, the light worked and dimmed like it is supposed to do... BUT then, I tried to put the receiver in the small area where I had just removed the old one... was stuffing the wires in the ceiling while pushing the receiver in... when I finished, I turned the power on and the light worked, but the fan did not... I removed all the wires and receiver and saw that the black wire to the motor had come loose... so after hooking the wires back together and trying to put it back in again... same thing... wire nuts came off and wires became loose again. With aching arms, I stopped and came back to youtube - Now that I've watched a couple of installations, I'm headed back in to unhook all of the wires, then put the receiver in first, then hook the wires up... (DUH)... that may have been in the instructions, but since I ordered this remote and receiver from Ebay, I received it last week and everything on the instructions was in Chinese, I was unable to understand the instructions, guess I should have translated all of the instructions from Chinese to English.... I will do that the next time.... Got it figured out now... I've only got 3 or 4 hours into the project... all the time with the wife saying, "I told you we should have just bought a New fan".... I get no respect at all....not at all. Have a great day.. I will when I finish this job.

After replacing you have to reset via the remote. For my single freq remote with no dop switches I had to turn breaker off (I did 10 seconds, probably doesnt't matter), turn it back on, then within 30 seconds (some sources say 3 minutes) on remote press fan off and fan high together until fan turns on (my lights came on too). After that you should be set. This was conveniently not mentioned in the video.

Well low and behold when you take off the canopy, the ceiling fan falls to the floor! Good move Hunter, now I have to buy a new ceiling fan! Good luck to anyone who tries to do this by themselves unless you can hold a ceiling fan with one hand, and wire it with the other!

Excellent video, made wiring so very simple to do after watching.

At minute 2:09 the white wires are referred to as ground wires. They are not ground wires, they are circuit neutral wires. Ground wires are usually bare copper or green.

1:20 - Even with the power turned off, *** NEVER *** cut multiple wires at once.

I turned off the power at circuit breaker #14 as shown in the video and kept getting electrocuted when I twisted wires together. I followed the instructions exactly, but I don’t think this video accurately shows how painful this thing is install. I didn’t see the girl wince once!

You forgot to include pairing the remote to the receiver. That got me when I first turned my power back on.

Hey Bro, after trying everything the manufacturer said to do nothing worked. After trying your technique a couple times the lights we’re dimming perfectly. Thank you very much

This is correct, assuming....you have room to operate without removing the cowling completely as you'd have to on most low profile fans. There's just no room to work otherwise. Also assuming your Eastern European handyman who hung the fan used proper wiring to begin with...which is doubtful. That said, yes, this is helpful.

So it can’t be wired to a wall switch, and the remote at the same time?

None of the receiver installation videos address how to attach and secure the actual remote receiver. They all just bypass that step and then show the receiver already inserted somehow into the wiring. In this video, did you just stuff it into the bracket and hope that it stays? Is it secured with nylon zip ties? Adhesive tape? Metal anchor strapping?
And how about the newly attached wires? Are they left dangling to become entangled with the spinning motor housing? It's these kind of steps being omitted that cause users to be become irate when the fan works for a week or so and then either the receiver or the wires start dragging against the spinning motor housing and eventually short out the receiver.

I unscrewed the 3 screws and the whole fan came down. Thanks for the instructions hunter😟

I just tried to install my hunter fan. NOWHERE in the instructions does it explain where to mount the remote. I guess they figure it must be self evident, in that case the entire installation should be intuitive and no instructions should be needed.
Eventually I figured it out and it fit in easily. Now to the fun part. Apparently, you must bypass your wall switch that controlled your old fan to get the remote to work and connect straight to the black hot wire. I'm not too sure I am to relinquish total fan control to a battery operated device.
tried wiring it to the switch, no sync. PIA not not have wall switch.
