Abstract: Cancers of the digestive system (esophagus, colorectum, liver, and stomach) have a high incidence and mortality rate, posing a significant burden on the healthcare system in China. Early detection of cancer offers the opportunity to identify tumors when they are still curable, greatly improving patient survival and quality of life. Cell-free DNA (cfDNA) methylation analysis on liquid biopsies (e.g., blood) holds great promise for detecting these high-impact cancers. Overcoming the sensitivity challenge posed by the limited amount of circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) shed into the bloodstream, we have developed a test to enable effective multi-cancer detection for the digestive system.
