For everyone confused, it’s an ostomy bag. When you can’t pass stool through your anus there is a surgical procedure called ostomy surgery that allows the stool to pass through a surgically created opening in the abdomen and into the pouch.

I’m a twin and my sister died when we were just 3 after complications with her health. Basically, we were conjoint and shared a small intestine so they had to give one of us a bladder and one a bowel. I got a bladder, leading me with a stoma. I don’t remember much of my sister but I like to think that apart of her is with me and that I am with her. Thank you for spreading awareness of ostomy bags and the conditions that people with them may face. Your videos make my day better because not only to you share funny videos like this you also show the struggles, both of which are very relatable to me and many others ❤

It's so great to see videos like these. My little sister was born with her bottom half not completely formed. So she's had a colostomy bag since she was a baby. It's not easy for her cus she's still a kid and doesn't understand it. But seeing videos like these helps her to not feel so embarrassed and alone.

It’s an ostomy which is an incision in the area where your intestines are. That way, the end goes through it and you let your waste out through that.

My sister had that when she was 4-51/2 years old. It was really scary. Her surgery almost failed and she passed but by some miracle she didn’t. She is now 7 and healthy

Honestly I don’t have ostomy but that is me every day I wear jeans I literally after I unbutton my jeans I just take them off and lay down on my cold bed

My dad was saying his stomach hurt at a wedding for one of our family friends we didn’t think anything about it until the next morning he was SUPER SICK my mom was out of town that day and I was getting ready for one of my friends birthday parties then my uncle burst through the door yelling saying get in the car. We’re going to the hospital. then I got back from the party and my dad wasn’t at the house only my mom was
I asked my mom what happened and she said we’re going to the hospital tomorrow. You have to pack a bag I was really scared and I thought my dad was gonna die then when we got to the hospital, I asked the nurse what happened and she said that at the wedding the night before his intestines exploded I got so scared then the nurse told me he would have a stoma for about a year and that it won’t hurt him I was still really scared that was about 3years ago he got his stoma removed about January 2019 now I can give him a real hug instead of a side hug my dad is an athletic Director and a head coach of a high school football team and right after he got out of the hospital he had football playoffs

being human is work, I can't imagine the time and pain involving individuals that have physical hindrances like this. It's obviously affecting their lives beyond what is normally dealt with by most of us. I admire "the fight" in these people. Struggling every day to feel good is a chore. Usually issues like this affect us as we age. Not her and many others like her. I admire all who put up the good fight. It can't be easy. I know this, God blessed me with health in life and honestly, I don't know why, but I'm grateful.

Ok So for anyone wondering what that is: it is usually called a colostomy bag for different reasons people will have to have a procedure done that basically diverts 1 part of the colon through your stomach and usually a bag covers it to collect the stool (poop). Now for some patients it can be reversed (so put back together) and other times it is best to be kept that way. It is actually a regularly done procedure but is just isn't talked about much.💜
