My mom has a protein deficiency, and she eats meat 3x a day! I've been vegan for 20 years, and I've never had a protein deficiency. I read up on this when my mom was diagnosed, and it's all about absorption! My mom was eating almost no fiber and all that meat protein wasn't being absorbed.

Rolled and steel cut oats have the same amount of fiber.

steel cut oats are just cut oat kernels where as rolled oats are just rolled oat kernels. Why would steel cut have more fiber? In germany we only have rolled oats. Either chopped kernels rolled. Or whole kernels rolled. Oh yea, and both get steamed. So u can eat them „raw“ (well they r obviously not raw since they ve beened steamed but ppl just eat them with cold milk like cornflakes etc.
