Urartu and Kingdom of Armenia were not states of modern Armenians

Some Armenians claim that they are indigenous people in the Caucasus region and Urartu (9th–6th centuries BC) and Kingdom of Armenia were states of the ancestors of modern Armenians.
Here the issue has been examined in two ways. 1) anthropology 2) language
In order to be impartial and objective there is not any reference to any Azerbaijani or Turkish sources, only the Armenian and other foreign sources.

Kingdom of Armenia was not Armenia? Lol

This is propaganda and lies. Armenians have over 8000 years of genetic continuity in the Armenian highlands, and this even includes the region of Artsakh.

Fortunately Armenians have recorded history by both national historians and foreign historians and there are huge genetics studies about Armenians ( and not only) proving that at least last 5 thousand years they belonged to the region which is called also Armenian highlands. Picking random things and putting together to satisfy anti -Armenian groups is prt of Azerbaijani propaganda. You better go and reference to your only and only historian Mammadova who fabricated “Azerbaijani history”. She is the representative of Azerbaijani people being widely criticized for her falsifications by the world historians. 😅 you can see in this video the same mindset born in the authoritarian country.

400 hundred years before Christ Armenian was already called Armenia and the rulers were Ervanduni(Orontid dynasty) of Armenia. He didn't say anything wrong

This is like saying modern day Egyptians are not descendants of the ancient Egyptians because modern Egyptians speak and write Arabic instead of the Coptic language/hieroglyphs and because their rulers were often foreign invaders.

So why does the first known King of Urartu have an Armenian name? The first king was named Arame, or Aramu. Is there a more ubiquitous name then ARAM? And his city also had an Armenian name, Arzashkun. The Urartu were built of many tribes. The Hurro-Urartu tribes were dominant, but the Indo-European tribes were still there, and had influence, to the point of one of them founding the kingdom(or at least a king being given one of their names)

We can argue about language until the cows come home, but in the end of the day, genetics has the final word.

OK this logic is stupid. Nobody is claiming that Urartu was modern modern Armenian kingdom. So what’s your point? The Minoans were not modern Greeks. The Etruscans were not modern Italians. The Armenian identity is a mixture of various Bronze Age Anatolian and Caucasian groups that coalesced into a recognizable culture around 3000 years ago.

This whole vid is false yes we know armenians dont speak urartian but urartians later became Armenian even the first king of urartu had Armenian name and was Armenian. Now about tigran and so on the artaxiads came from the orontids and there native name was yervandunis or erebunis wich is Armenian also they fighted against the persians. In the kingdom of Armenia people mostly spoke Armenian go to the same link you showed in the vid and it will show where stabo mentioned that. The reason we couldnt find any armenian writings before 5 ad was because we dint have our own alphabet we used the aramaic and the greek one. Also modern dna tests show we are native in our lands. And all the capitals in greater Armenia had Armenian names we cant be sure if they really were of iranian origin because they were later on the succesors of urartu.

The origin of the Armenians is a topic about the emergence of the Armenian people and the country called Armenia. The earliest universally accepted reference to the people and the country dates back to the 6th century BC Behistun Inscription, followed by several Greek fragments and books.[1] The earliest known reference to a geopolitical entity where Armenians originated from is dated to the 13th century BC as Uruatri in Old Assyrian.[2] Historians and Armenologists have speculated about the earlier origin of the Armenian people, but no consensus has been achieved as of yet. Linguistically, Armenians have been speaking an Indo-European language for as long as it has been attested since the 5th century AD, and genetic studies show that Armenian people are indigenous to historical Armenia, showing little to no signs of admixture since around the 13th century BC.

All this video is false. Very interesting how much money did you get to make this false movie. And how can you prove that Bunak and other scientists said what you wrote here if they prove the opposite in their researches? You can't change the history. Armenians were and will be in Armenian mountains forever.
