If he consistent shooting & more minutes this coming season why not

We know PP can shoot but if he's going to have a chance at the 6th Man of the Year, he has to be more defensively noticeable. Not saying that he has to be guarding all five positions as Jrue Holiday does, but if he can be more disruptive on defense (a steal every now and then on the passing lanes, denying certain passes so that the other team's offensive pattern gets changed, being a legitimate threat on the double team), PP may just make heads turn and give him a chance at the 6MOTY. In other words, PP has to be one of the best defenders on the team like, and this is according to Joe Mazzulla, Luke Kornet.

He has the talent to do it, but the bench is too deep for him to stand out. Horford and Kornet will be the first players off the bench, and Hauser will get more burn unless PP outplays him significantly.
