In every single video in which he appears, Ian acts as if he is in dire need of a nap.

Somebody get this dude an espresso!

Density, and the invisible atmosphere around the edges of a flame (oxygen, or in space some less dense slurry of molecules) if u keep a lighter lit u can move your fingers quickly through the flame, the hot part is the tip of the flame and the air it is combusting with is less dense but still a crucial part of the triangle.

I'm no expert in these matters, and might as well be considered as a hick on these kinds of physics. Heck even a part of my brain tells me I'm wrong on this idea, but is it possible the lower temperatures are caused by the lack of space for the matter to move about be the cause? I'm basing this on the fact the more something is warm, the more it vibrates and moves about. What if matter had a lot of energy to give off, but didn't have the room to get rid of that energy? Would it still be registered as hot or would it be some sort of pressure induced "refrigeration"?

April fools, there is no such thing as the sun

It's amazing that the sun can be so stabile during such a long time. Like a gigantic explosion that is totally controlled, without overdoing it or run out of fuel. And it's big, no wonder the old egyptians like it. It's an amazing item. The water-world earth is also amazing. The other objects are less fascinating chunks of stone, ice or gas.

Ian's quite good. don't know why he doesn't get more stories

Maybe its due to compression. An increase in pressure reduces the distance between molecules and their room to move ?

In the bottom right corner of the video screen, there's a little music icon. Click it. And again.

Nice video, im doing a science fest project in well water vs bottled water. Pls Help and do a video on this subject. Thanks Pls reply

it may be gravity. as the sun has immense gravity, everything is compressed inside, but at the exterior the outer layer is lose and so all that energy compressed from the inside goes out flashing heating even more the thing idk

What if the photosphere isn't there anymore, like it is gone? There isn't a way of telling that it is still there so maybe the photosphere was what was making the corona a little bit cooler but if the sun burned through it it would eventually heat up the outside to probably around that exact temperature because the photosphere was holding in so much heat that when it broke, the corona got super heated. That is my theory and I'm 13 so it's probably wrong but just a theory. Sense I have absolutely no experience with this type of thing. But sometimes problems can be so obvious to little kids that adults overthink it. Remember that it's just a guess without any real evidence but again it's just a theory

Could it be a combination of gravity and available space?  The atoms in the middle of the sun are the boulder at the top of the hill, the ones in the corona are the boulder near the bottom of the hill...  The potential energy has gotten the space it needs to transform into kinetic (heat) energy...

No wait! You forgot to say that the new set was an early April fools joke!

I don't think the "why should we care"-question is so important. If there is something going on that we can't explain - let's try and find an answer, even if we don't know why jet. Just out of curiosity. That is what has brought humanity this far.

I wonder if there solar warming and solar cooling that combines with are global warming . I guest you have to research any data with other planets and see if it follow are planet system .

My favorite solar mystery is how the Sun's increasing temperature always lead CO2 increases.
