It’s found all of Asia with different spellings and pronunciations. I’m currently going to this Burmese booth at my local farmers market and getting it every weekend. They spell it paloda. Trader Joe’s used to carry a frozen version of this, and I swear we lived off of that. I love to make curries and it’s so easy to pull that out of the freezer and it’s so yummy. Sadly, they stopped carrying it (I swear, Trader Joe’s discontinues everything I love ). Glad Costco has it now!

Awesome that being from India it isn't made with fortified flour (the folic acid form of folate is bad for a lot of people).

If they could just use butter or another animal fat instead of vegetable oils, it would be the perfect food.
