Do you ever feel like you just can't get going on that project or idea you've always wanted to pursue? Well you're not alone. For the next 12 weeks, I'm going to create and publish one video per week and see if I can finally work past my own self doubt and perfectionism surrounding YouTube. Care to join me for the adventure?

Thanks for watching!

This video and the production quality is far better than any of the people you mentioned. It's also honest, not ad sponsored, not made to a schedule and feels, human.

Hey
I think it's called "analysis paralysis". I know what it's like. I'm always scared to fail whenever I have an original idea. For example:
I take pictures since I'm a kid and always was afraid to make a fool of myself. I don't sell or publish pictures, I'm afraid to ask validation from my friends of family, but recently, I thought "what the hell".
I'm in my mid 30's and if I don't start doing stuff now, when will I start?
So I started my channel too. I want to share experience, learn new stuff, shoot film, create videos, whatever.
I feel you, man! And I think your videos are great. Loved the Fuji Rensha one!

I think a lot of people can relate to that "pursue of perfection" that is in effect a show stopper for ones ideas. It's hard work to free yourself from that, hope it works out for you. And I agree with others, you are so easy to listen to and you do great job in your story telling.

I just found tour channel. Personally I have loved watching photographers making POV photography videos, whether it’s a sunset street challenge, completely silent or someone who explains their process as they go. Not sure if that’s an idea that interests you or if you are aware of the format. Just thought I would say it in case it’s something you’d be interested to try. Love what you’ve posted so far. Hope you find it rewarding and keep at it.

I love this video. You are an excellent story teller and the theme is something I think everyone runs into. I know I do/have.

Hey. I liked, commented, and subscribed. You didn't even ask! You have a very nice style and a great tempo to your work. The stuttering transition that played in time with the trumpet after you revealed that you are your biggest problem - it made me smile and I went back to watch it again. I hope you find success in whatever it is you decide to do. And I hope it's more YouTube videos.

I'm 4 months late to the party.
I never ever comment on YouTube videos.
There's nothing I can offer other than keep doing what you want to do. When it's organic and honest, it's worth it for both sides.
That's all I want to see.

I really enjoyed this video and would LOVE to see anything else that you do! You have done some amazing photography for our seedling of a company and we LOVE every piece of work that you do! Keep going Taylor Noel. You have a voice and we want to hear it!

I don't know anything about photography. I know lots about not starting something for fear that it will not be good enough. This is what I have learned. You only get better if you keep trying. You learn from experience, from your success and your failure. And on that happy note I will continue working on finishing a quilt on my long arm machine. Some stitching will be great, some I will rip out and do over. When I am finished it will be better than the one I did before and not as good as the one I will do next. Go Forth and Do Good.

I'm interested in learning more about what drew you to and keeps you in that love for film vs digital - is it a special something in the way the pictures come out? Is it the process that you love? Is it a special club you belong to (neener neener) that most people don't just get? There's my off-the-top-of-my-head response to your question. I love your video and what you are trying to do. I am 62 years old and still revisiting questions about creativity in myself. Why do I create fragments of songs for instance and never really finish them? I love these questions and the pursuit of an answer. Thanks!

This has casey nistat vibes, turning the introspection about making the video into THE video. Which is probably more interesting that any video idea you had in the first place. Now my head hurts.

Well I'm paying attention now, no pressure! haha - Just kidding man, these were the same reasons why I kept postponing me starting a youtube channel even though I wanted to for a long time. Those first videos with a few views were a bit rough, but now the anxiety of doing new videos is at about 6/10 when in the beginning it was overwhelming. Thank you for creating this video, don't forget that most podcasts/shows stop around the tenth episode, I'm rooting for you to go past that!

Maybe an episode about interesting sites and sounds in Brooklyn? Smaller things people overlook. Maybe another about how to approach and take pictures of random people on the street.
