Trump: Ukraine, Russia have ‘no choice’ but peace

U.S. President Donald Trump says Ukraine and Russia both want to reach a peace agreement because "they have no choice."

“I think what’s going to happen is Ukraine wants to make a deal because I don’t think they have a choice,” Trump told reporters in the Oval Office at the White House. “I also think that Russia wants to make a deal because in a certain different way — a different way that only I know, only I know — they have no choice.”

Trump's special envoy, Steve Witkoff, said on Thursday he is in discussions with Ukraine for a peace agreement framework to end hostilities with Russia and that a meeting is planned next week with the Ukrainians in Saudi Arabia.
