They do not want users to know this feature because it reduces quality for a faster shutter speed. Implementing this as default would mean that early reviews would have lower-quality photos and be bad PR. They need help to process as fast as most other brands, many of which have their own camera co-processor to speed this up. So, this is a cheap fix and probably best to avoid and wait for Samsung devs to fix the processing speed.

At this time; the Camera Assistant, isn’t available on older flagship Samsung phones.

Unfortunately Ben this module doesn't work particularly well in low light scenarios and the time between pressing the shutter button and the phone taking the picture is proper slow.

Can you perform a test with these settings to see how effective they are at reducing blur on moving objects?

First, this didn't eliminate shutter lag at all. Second, it isn't available in all countries. Third, it's so lame from Samsung not to fix the issue that has been there on devices for YEARS, but try to override it with third party app...that didn't help.

i tried it it really reduces the quality quite a lot, especially when using any of the telephoto lenses

They don't want u to know for 2 reasons.
1) u / we keep upgrading every year like idioos in hope that newer phone has faster cpu and less lag .
2) the faster shutter allgorhy will factor in lesser quality in attaemtp to he faster..
Which is not a problem during max day light..
But Cud be a problem in low light.

What is this exactly for? The flash? Because it is awful! I bought a Samsung Galaxy A34, £300, thinking that it would be a great investment, instead on many fronts it is no more than a cheap phone. I am so when I want to take photos at a music venue, for example, even with reasonable light, I have to ask friends if I can use their phone. How awful is that? And I did a lot of research, because a good camera was my priority. Still ended up with such a useless thing. I have never been able to use the flash. And with a bit less light, the photos are blurred.

Camera Assistant is not available on all Galaxy phones.
