Perfectionism is another word for procrastination. The idea that you need to be ready to be ready is sometimes the thing that holds you back.

The hardest thing is when you make some videos that do well you feel pressure to make the next ones better. It becomes stress.

People don't want fake, they want real people.

Started my channel a week ago after procrastinating and watching “How to start your channel “ for the last year. I reached a point where I just started, and just hope with each video I make they get better. Its the only way to learn, by getting the experience

This is literally gold. I couldn't agree more. I've spent the last 5 years building 3 YT channels and the only videos that have been caught by the algorithm and still have success today are videos where I didn't put any production effort at all, didn't care about thumbnail, just recorded and uploaded. It's just awesome 😆

I say as a small creator the best thing I ever did was post my first video! Yes it will probably suck but it's like starting a new job or learning a new skill. POST and learn from your mistakes! Everything takes time to get better. Most channels fail because people give up too easy! This is hard for a reason. There is no such thing as a bad video. Just keep posting and you will grow 💪 You will never make everyone happy. Just go for it and you will get better!! Good luck!! I'm heading out before I miss my flight ✈️ 🌎 Krep on Bouncing Baby!! 😎 ❤ 👍 💯

Yessir! Remember if people don’t like the video they just won’t watch it!

I think that for small channels the most important thing is to get good presence from the beginning. If you are not popular, people won't care even if you have the best videos and the best content on platform. I am not beginner anymore, but I know how hard it can be (and honestly if I didn't use a lot of Fame- ster, I would have quit a long time ago. It made everything much easier for me, especially getting to 1000 subs and view hours).

As a perfectionist, I NEEDED to hear this. I get so hyperfocused on the details that it sometimes keeps me from making the content. Thank you Nolan!

Powerful Message! I call it "Redefining Failure". Your View/Subscriber Count is not your metric. You posting every day/week for a certain timeframe is the goal. If you were successful in posting, you "succeeded". The View/Subscriber count is just a metric to help show what the audience likes.

I just finished to record a bad one 😂 but fck better than nothing for today😂

Totally agree Nolan. You don't need to overedit educational content. It's all about the information!
Great job.

This hits home so much today... after only consuming content on "How to do a YouTube video" I finally got my sh*t together and just posted my first video today. It's super short, it's super bad but it's a first step and that counts. I feel like I broke a barrier there... Thanks for summarizing the benefits and giving me confidence to keep it up!

I needed to hear this. I don’t have a lot of time for YouTube

This is good advice. The key is not focusing on the views but on creating. It is difficult to wrap your head around, but it's the way to go.

Just keep posting, you’ll get there eventually. Talking to myself and small YouTubers out there. Keep going! 💪😎

I’m working on my first short film as I’m becoming a film maker and I’ve been learning that I’ll still need to make other videos along the way to connect and engage with my audience along the way so that when it’s time to release my film there will be some people invested in watching it 😁. I realize these videos along the way won’t be nearly as good as the film I’m working on 🤷🏼‍♀️ thankyou for validating this

Love this. Started my channel two days ago and going for posting with little improvements each time. No overthinking

I haven’t posted in a long time and every time I watch a video like this! Makes me just want to jump in back. I had to learn everything about content creation which took tons of research to get my video the style I wanted. I appreciate you bro!
