The BSNNP is happy to have Rob Reinhart, PhD presenting his lecture entitled
"Noninvasive neuromodulation for impaired cognition"
Rob Reinhart completed his PhD at Vanderbilt University, forwent postdoctoral training, and started at Boston University in 2016, where he directs the Cognitive & Clinical Neuroscience Laboratory and is on faculty in the Departments of Psychological & Brain Sciences and Biomedical Engineering. Rob’s research mainly uses electrophysiological measurements of brain activity, computational modeling, noninvasive neuromodulation, and behavior to investigate the mechanisms of visual perception and cognition in healthy younger and older adults, and people with neuropsychiatric disorders, such as schizophrenia. His research includes the development of noninvasive neuromodulation methods for the repair of neural functions in people with schizophrenia, obsessive-compulsive behaviors, and age-related cognitive impairment. Rob is the PI of two grants from the NIH, the recipient of individual philanthropic support, and the grand prize winner of the 2022 Science & PINS Prize in Neuromoduation, awarded by the AAAS.
