An architect who has experience in similar home builds can draw from lessons learned both good and bad, on previous projects.

Rather than your proposed project being their first exposure of that type of project. Relying on them to get things right on their first go might be a little unrealistic.

✅ Can work collaboratively.

Remember the goal is to achieve a great house, not just the design.

The architect needs to be open to working with other consultants and the builder as a team, in the best interest of the homeowner.

No one has exclusive rights to good ideas, so if someone else has a good idea that will improve both the design and the build. The architect should be willing to accept and implement the changes as part of the design.
