I IDENTIFY (lol) as a non techie. I may do this. But I will say, whoever named hardware, or parts, made it hard. No way would I consider this piece of hardware as a CARD. So, I research. Never heard the term Molex, nor what it did. So, I have to research. THEN I come back to a tutorial like yours, somewhat better prepared for your simple fix. whew. TY for this straightforward video, I appreciate it.

IMPORTANT NOTE: a 5 port is not necessarily better than a 4 port, because the 5 ports will be so close to each other that some device plugs may not fit side by side and you might end up using every other one, meaning only 3 of the 5 ports.

Hi, is my motherboard (gigabyte GA-MA790GP) compatible with a PCIe USB3? I have tried connecting it to the PCIe x1 lane but it doesn't work, the motherboard can't display anything on the monitor. Or do have I to connect it to the PCIe x16 lane instead? Since it's the one that already a PCIe gen 2.0 type, thanks.

So the cables are running from expansion to the power supply? Which port? Mine has a molex instead of a sata, is that a problem?
