Five Things You Should Know About Business Development in the Jordan Valley Israel Virtual Tours
Показать описание
Today we are going to visit an Israeli town in the Jordan Valley that is called Makiot and meet a local entrepreneur named David. He owns a flour mill, whole foods distribution and is now building a free range chicken farm for eggs and a solar energy farm.
This place is in the boonies. If we take Maskiot as an example its 109km from Tel Aviv with some winding and old roads takes about an hour and 35 minutes to drive. From Beit Shaan which is the closest Israeli city which you probably very rarely visit because its pretty remote itself is about 25 minutes away. And from Jerusalem its about an hour and 40 minutes on the Elon road which I have spoken about in the past.
It is very hot in the Jordan Valley. I am not a big fan of extremely hot weather. When you visit, wear a hat, drink a lot of water and stay in the shade as much as you can.
Most of the Israeli towns in the Jordan Valley are farming communities. Maskiot is a residential town that was founded after Israel pulled out of Gaza in 2005 to provide a home for some of the residents of Gush Katif who were displaced.
Jobs and livelihood are challenging for people who live in remote locations. Meet Daveed, he is an entrepreneur.
He owns a flour mill and distributes grains and whole food products to stores and homes throughout Israel. Its a family business
His kids help out in their free time and during summer vacation.
He is now building an advanced free range chicken farm. This farm will house 3000 chickens in the first stage and 6000 later on when he gets the permits to expand.
The roof of his chicken house will be used for solar panels as an additional source of income as part of Israel’s transformation to green energy.
He plans on opening this up as a visitors center for tourists on their way from the North to Jerusalem and the Dead Sea. So, come visit.
