I've been running Apollos for 4 years now... at first I just wanted the quality and the latency-free recording, but, once I started actually buying their plugins I really started to understand my investment! The BAX EQ, Shadow Hills Mastering Compressor, Oxford Inflator, and 1176 Compressor Collection are a Must for me when recording Guitars. I've spent WAY TOO MUCH on plugs, but, it's really worth it! Great Review!

I own that interface and I absolutely love it. Best money spent this year for me.

Super cool product. I cant get over how good it sounds. Everything usually sounds like ass on my phone, but that sounded great. Especially the high end. It never got abrasive with presence. It remained sweet. Really dig this thing.

"That's expensive; why would they add that?" ARE YOU KIDDING? BECAUSE ITS IMPOSSIBLE TO USE THE HARDWARE OUT OF THE BOX, THATS WHY THEY WOULD ADD THAT

Ryan, my biggest question to you is would you consider using (or have you used) any of the Apollo plugins on an album or professional release, or do you consider these plugins mostly for practice and for laying initial tracks?

Cool review! I don't mind spending a bit for an interface, but when I look at how much their plugins cost that's when I decide to stick with what I have. I'm afraid that once I step into the UA world it's going to be hard for me to resist continually buying their awesome looking plugins. My goal is to get better at the fundamentals of mixing and not get distracted by shiny new plugins.

I've been waiting for someone to give a more personal review of this interface for months now. Thanks fluff.

Nice review, Fluff. This is exactly how I wanted to hear the Apollo put though it's paces

Good review. Was considering the Apogee Quartet, but you convinced me to get this. Great channel!

Hey Fluff! In one of his videos, Glenn said that you *always* want a DI-box before going directly into an interface with your guitar/bass, even when using a Hi-Z input. What do you say?

Very cool. Just found you through the FBJ podcast and enjoying your stuff. I have the Twin Duo too and use it for playing out live with my acoustic. I use it for EQ and use the BX Subsynth for making bass loops and use a send to the EMT 140 reverb unit for vox and guitar. It's a complicated rig, but it works well.

Definitely my favorite plugins. I'm also getting into using the unison plugins while tracking which frees up dsp while mixing.

Does any of the software come free with card? And are there any problems with the USB 3.0 version?

"Tactile sensation of the knob"... Fluff, you knew someone was gonna pick up on that right after you said it! :P

my resident audio T4 came with a lightning cable and I paid $160 for it on reverb. Best gear purchase of 2016.

Wait a minute Fluff, on the last video your point was that we need a Reamp Box for DI tracks to be further reamped (I agree). Now Apollo Twin is good enough for DI/Reamp? Does it matches the impedance?
Cheers

Fluff, would you choose this over an Apogee Quartet? Thanks for all your efforts!😉👍
