There are many ways to get from Bangkok to Hua Hin but the classic way is by train. The trip is slower, around 4.5 hours on the ordinary, but it’s a great way to relax and see the countryside.

The cheapest way is to catch the ordinary 261 that leaves Hua Lamphong Station at 9:20am each day. All cars are 3rd class and are 44 Baht per person.

If you are wanting to experience a bit of Thailand this is the best way. Along the way you can sample many of the local foods as well as meet other travelers along the way.
