I love the fact that Im fortunate enough to grow up with iPods in high school and the original iPhone coming out and the Apple Watch and now this. We truly are living in the futuristic technology dreams we all had growing up.

I didn't expect to be excited about this announcement, but I'm excited about this announcement. "Refinement" is the best word I've heard around everything I've seen about this. Refinement and experience is the reason I use Apple products.

As an older person who is tech-aware –– very different from my 65+ age group –– I see massive potential to enhance the life of older people. We may have physical issues, but this could expand our virtual world in ways no other technology might. We want to be a part of things, even if our bodies are holding us back. I see this as a way for even the more disabled of us to "rejoin" the human race... and that is HUGE.

To be honest… I loved the overall feel of this thing, but the thing that clinched the sale with me, is the likelihood I will be able to see my work better with it than I do on a computer screen. I’m 60, my latest glasses subscription has made it almost impossible to read on a laptop screen without a ton of compromises. My MacBook Pro runs throu a high end 32” monitor, primarily so I can read what’s being written. Having a virtual screen with razor sharp text you can adjust to your needs lije you can on here is mind blowing. The option mentioned about Zeiss inserts… further enhanced that need. I’m excited about this. It can help me work, for real.

What excites me is that it is already here this is happening now, this is only gonna get better: lighter in weight, better and more precise tracking technology, longer battery life, cheaper? Maybe, better user experience, etc.
It looks already amazing, imagine what this could become…

As an 80s kid I can remember how exciting it was for Atari to come out. I never imagined something this mind-blowing would be invented. I can not wait to purchase this beautiful beast. I swear to God, it's all I can think about. 2024 hurry the heck up and get here ASAP!😍🥰

great video, I have to say, the only part i noted was when you said it would take a decade for it to replace computers, phones, tv's etc.

we already use phones as tv's, computers as tv's interchangeably, ChatGPT came out last year and is already widely used inside and outside of corporate america, iPads came out a decade ago but reached mass scale far sooner and there werent many technological advancements between the iphone and ipad. The Apple watch was released in 2015 and is a much more niche product, yet 200 million devices have been sold.

With Vision Pro, Apple is sitting on an all-in-one device that has the potential to compete with or outsell any previous apple product

I will turn 60 this year. I have been waiting for this technology most of my life. My degree from school was ‘Spatial Design’ my mind/brain works in 3D natively, I have always believed the time would come where I could wave my hands in space and my thoughts and ideas would come to life in front of me in and I could share globally with other people…. This really is the future, not today, not tomorrow but genuinely human changing technology that in 10 years is going to be what all ‘computers’ look like… jump on this in every and any way you can…. Developer develop. Creatives create. Designers design… Apple have provided the perfect tool to move forward with… I’m just an old dog still curious and learning new tricks… I am so envious of the current 20 year olds … lucky buggers!

People are saying that this will replace your phone and laptop I'm just gonna say that will never happen unless they can get the form factor to the size of average glasses. Even then people are still going to love their phones.
