Police body camera video shows Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill hesitant to roll his window down after initial contact with police, but retired Los Angeles Police Department Capt. Jerry Rodriguez tells NewsNation's "Morning in America" that the officers should have had "situational awareness" to recognize Hill was a player, adding there is no law that mandates windows must be rolled down during traffic stops. When officers feel their orders are not followed, they tend to react, Rodriguez says, and he calls the officers' actions "ugly."

So many saying he endangered peoples lives by speeding. 13 year old school shooter letting cops know he was going to take lives and he was cleared by a simple denial. Riddle me that one.

It’s amazing. The officer clearly knew who the person was in the car. The second day officer walked to the office, just back up and say is Tyreek Hill. These offices knew exactly what they were doing.

The players should definitely file a lawsuit. Folks also need to learn to keep ur mouth shut. Anything you say will be used against you.

The cops *did* know it was Tyreek Hill.
In one of the videos released you can hear 18 seconds in, one of them says it's Tyreek Hill.

This response from this former LEO is correct.
The number one goal of all interactions between Officers and the general public is de-escalation if at all possible. These officers failed miserably. Tyreek was rude but thankfully this isn't against the law, yet. A simple traffic ticket is now national news, a bad look on the city, MPD and LEOs in general. Before the keyboard warriors come for me, remember no matter what you and I think, these officers superiors decided to put them on administrative leave based only on this video alone which speak volumes. Again, de-escalation is the goal. These officers were just reminded of this fact.

Windows legally only need to be rolled down enough to pass paperwork back and forth but cops get this Good complex that if they make an order you better do what they say or else

Mr Hill gave the officer his license. The officer should have written a ticket and cleared. Keeping a window down is not required. Mr Hill will win a big lawsuit for clear use of excessive force..

Hill was targeted by this gang of men with very small and sensitive egos.

Miami-Dade Police are the worst in being like this.

It's shouldn't matter who he was. Everyone should be treated equally to keep cities and municipalities from paying millions of dollars in settlements for officer conduct and abuse. These officers don't care because it's not their money. Marginalized communities have been abused like this for decades, and it is destroying this country. Think of a house with an abusive father and how dysfunctional the family will be. And abusive does not translate to respect. There was a time in this country when police were respected and not feared, and as a society, that distinction has severe consequences.

He told the cop not to touch his car. That's all it takes to trigger tyrants.

If it was another black male or an unknown black person, it would not have been news, and these cops would've gotten away with another disgusting behavior. This behavior has been normal among those cops, and nothing has ever been done about it. UNLESS COPS ARE SENT TO JAIL FOR THIS CONDUCT, THIS BEHAVIOR WILL CONTINUE NO MATTER WHAT THE OUTCOME IS. This is not new behavior, so why is it still happening?
