Pretty clever using the gutted spark plug for a porcelian nozzle! The pressurized pot used here is an excellent design as well.

That spark plug trick was amazing, definitely adding that one to the mental roster.

Don't forget to add the cost of a respirator. That's absolutely crucial if you're using natural sand as your blast media.

$10 worth of gas, $5000 in equipment, $200 in fittings

I believe it's cheaper than any sandblaster you can buy, but adding everything together, its definitely more than $10.

Yea it’s 10 bucks if you have all the materials and you count them as 0 because you already have them hahaha

My dad built one like this out of a propane tank and plumbers fittings years ago. It worked well.
I learned at probably age 14-15 how to cover full-body with proper clothing to make sure not to get sand in places that you didn’t know you had.
I also had to lay tarps out to collect and then re-filter sand to reuse.

Man this channel shoud be bigger, honestly. im not trying to downplay the success they've accomplished, but the creativity and effort in their videos deserve more recognition

Everyone hatin' on them talking about how it'd cost more than $10 etc, I agree, $10 tag was prolly for the YT title, but hey, even if it costs 100-150$ in brass fittings & ressources, it's still way cheaper than any good sandblaster on the market!
Gotta admire the skills and creativity even if the title is a bit clickbait.

Finally someone on YouTube understands the concept of 3 legs instead of 4. Big thumbs up 👍

If you already have the equipment and if you're a handy man, then it's a great idea. It looked great & appears to work well.
If you had to buy everything new, you'd be better off to just buy a new sand blaster.

You can't begin to build that for $10. Every valve on it costs more and it all asds up way over $10.

Wouldn't recommend do a DIY pressure tool unless you are a professional and know what you are doing.

Super smart crew. Many recycled parts for FREE! I think a lot of folks have noticed the use of of a spark plug insulator to act as the ceramic nozzle. Brilliant!
