Man, watching you train with so many different Masters, I feel so jealous and motivated.

The kenpo class reminded me so much of how I have trained here in the US. Sometimes it feels that we deviate very far from our roots in Okinawa, but this was somewhat warming and comforting to see.

Maybe you could stay in Okinawa for a little longer, like a lifetime, maybe. So you could keep bringing us this wonderful content.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience.

Osu, thank you for the history lesson about the 36 Chinese Families. I've heard about them before but I didn't realize they had a memorial set up for them. Very cool to see,  OSU ARIGTO!

Very interesting episode! Especially part about Chinese families which came to Okinawa, and brought martial art with them. I knew of course about Chinese roots of karate, but I’ve never heard this story. Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge.

Thank you, Jesse, for putting out some of the best work I've seen on YouTube. I thoroughly enjoy your videos and can't wait for your new episodes. I am a new practitioner in Traditional Okinawan Karate. I recently moved to Lansing, Michigan and had the immense honor to join Beikoku Shidokan Hombu Dojo and am training directly under Seikichi Iha, Sensei, 10th Dan, Shorin-Ryu Shidokan Karate. To say that I am captivated by this art is an extreme understatement! Again, thank you for your superb work!!

Enkamp Sensei, I know tradition is to study under one Master, however many Sensei, even Toyama Sensei incorporated and taught different techniques to his students some which he had learned from Itosu Sensei, and others that he had learned through his travels to China and Taiwan. Keep bringing the videos, it helps all of us grow, we can take that works for us and apply it to our everyday training, we all learn from training, teaching and sharing!

I love me some Jesse! His videos are always informative and fun. I prefer kungfu but in sparring a kick is a kick, a punch is a punch. Sweeps, blocks, take-downs, etc, etc. So I enjoy his lessons and apply them to my training. He inspires me to try harder, focus more, and to re-affirm my commitment to my studies & training. I really appreciate your channel and hope you continue on for many years to come. Thanks, Jesse!
