My niece told me that her father's ex was abusive towards her and nobody believed her. First thing I said was "I believe you." The look on her face made me want to cry. I grew up with nobody believing me, and I absolutely refuse to let her suffer like that

I do have a question of my own.

Is it possible to be the victim of a hate crime but still be alive? I ask because of several instances since I came out that my life was put in danger (weapons such as guns were involved)

Like what if we have no friends have no family have no one we can trust and the hotlines are useless? That will cause somebody to do something drastic cuz they feel like nobody cares
