The exalted Aldor/Scryer enchants work on the Heirloom shoulders

You can use the ZG shoulder enchants on heirloom shoulders (if exalted which many will be from classic or you can be by just throwing some gold at bijous and coins or farming for the mounts every lockout)

Doing so gives 18 spellpower or 30 atk power if your character is lv55+. A pretty substantial upgrade, practically doubling the power of that items baseline power for lv55-68

Fish here, gonna drop some of my insight in on this one.
1). "Don't downgrade eov to eoh for heirlooms, go for Boe to sell for gold." Moot/garbage point, heirlooms = time saved and more exp = more gold from quests and grinding due to less time spent
2).stone keeper shards should be used to save up honor for the sake of getting wrathful off-set pieces later on in the expansion, not leveling alts. Heirlooms for the 10% exp is the biggest importance when leveling. Once ICC drops the wrathful neck/cape/etc will be triple stat items with a ton of good stats, you get spellpower/x stat/resilience and lose out on your primary stat, which hurts physical dps but intellect means nothing for casters later on, so it's a big upgrade for most unless you have toc25 gear.

5). Yep, questing is decent gold, especially early on when power grinding elsewhere is more difficult because we're weaker
6). Yep farming old shit usually is good gold.
7). Having an off spec is extremely important. Having a tank spec allows for you to equip multiple tank items with a majority of your gear dps, letting you have enough defense to not be crit by a mob 1/2 levels higher than you, but not for raid bosses. Optimizing a "tank spec" for the goal at hand allows for a spec I call "Dungeon Hero", where tanks can literally top the dps charts by 2-3x the average players dps.

If you don't need gold or valor gear items and wish to downgrade badges for BoA gear, go for it. Especially since the amount of gold for the wrists is rapidly dropping on most servers.

Blizzard said that there will always be heroism and valor, conquest triumph and frost will just be valor, and all previous tiers will be heroism. Further more all your valor will be converted to heroism during the phase change

Wintergrasp is layered now there is a horde and alliance layer and both sides have wintergrasp buff at all times so anyone can go there anytime safely and farm or access the raid vendors and dailies

Don't waste stone keeper shards on heirlooms. Save them for ToC patch and get free epic gems.

I got rid of all my valors and now have almost all alts covered for Boe.

I am totally rolling on anything that Pawn says is a higher Holy % than my current Holy gear (when I'm Ret, I keep my Holy gear in my bags so I don't have to run to a bank to swap spec for healing) so I will mouseover the piece of gear I have for the slot that dropped and if, for example, the piece in my bags says "Holy: 148%" and the drop says "Holy: 327%", that tells me that even while I'm spec'd Ret, in Ret gear, the drop is a considerable upgrade for my off-spec. And I've got a macro ready to go that says to /r and /p "Since no one is need rolling on a piece of gear that is a considerable upgrade for my off-spec, would anyone object to me rolling need on it? If so, I'll greed and take my chances.", And if everyone says it's cool, or no one objects after 20s, I need roll. If even one person objects, I greed roll.
