Damn it always amazes me how this guy is able to so eloquently and effectively communicate his ideas to these interviewers. God's speed Russell Brand!

I would pay good fucking money to see Russell Brand debate with Bill O'Reilly with Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert as commentators and with Jon Oliver as timekeeper.

You're a good man Russel. There are many of us in New Zealand who feel the same way. The world has deteriorated and now people fighting this global cause has hit mainstream. You are not alone

12:55 "Socialism is just the politics of Christianity, the politics of common decency." - this is a fundamental truth, and Russell Brand is the first prominent person to speak it out.

Russell makes a fantastic point about how women's rights and homosexual rights etc should be considered humanitarian rights. BUT sadly, I think he forgets that in order for people globally to create a revolution, they need to at least be on the same page when it comes to issues such as these. Sadly, a vast, _vast_ number of people, both in Britain and the US, still believe that homosexuality is a sin and that women should not have abortions.

When O'Donnell was talking about America's elected representatives standing on just a single vote's difference, I think he was trying to explain how many Americans have voted for a representative that _does not_ back gay rights or women's rights, because much of America is not what we would call 'left wing'. How can we create a Revolution if so many people (almost a majority) still have this conservative mindset? You cannot undo generations of ignorance and intolerance when these ideas are so ingrained in peoples' minds. While the more liberal may jump on a Revolutionary bandwagon, first you need to educate and inform the uneducated and ill-informed. And if a Revolution occurs without this happening, all it will do is drive a wedge between conservative-minded people and liberal-minded people.

Russel is more and more composed in his views and the way he conveys them and I was thrilled to see him dominate this conversation with strong and well placed arguments. Cant wait to read the book.

Equal rights for everyone shouldn't be an issue, he is spot on there. Equal rights should just be there already, we shouldn't have to vote them in. We should be focusing on the system as a whole, but we are kept preoccupied quarreling over smaller things. As George Carlin said They don't want a nation of people capable of critical thinking, they want obedient workers.

This is the first mainstream media interview I've seen with Brand where the interviewer is not antagonistic toward him

He just said "In this country, there is NO place to cast a vote to express everything you just express. BUT, there is a vote to something that will not make a difference to the world wide problem we're having." Which is, people work together. People run the world. People make choices. "Crumbs from the table" THANK YOU FOR UNDERSTANDING EVERYTHING Russell....Sadly, not enough people get it
