Sneaker collectors run into a lot of problem while you’re acquiring their sneakers. Some obvious issues are storage, the cost of shoes, reselling and a lot more. But there’s one problem people never talk about when it comes to their sneaker collection…. And that’s “what size shoe should I buy?” Now that might sound like an easy buying decision. Especially when you’re copping a hyped sneaker that’s limited edition. BUT if you plan on having a sneaker collection for a long time, then making sure your shoe size has a little extra room in it is one of the best sneaker fashion tips I can give you! Over the course of time your feet expand, get wider and that affects the comfort of your shoe. So in this sneakerhead video I discuss that topic! SUBSCRIBE for more mens fashion and footwear content. I addressed the same in a regrets video last year because going down a half size or sometimes true to size is a bad decision for your feet. Even when a lot of people go down if a pair runs big I'd rather have it run slightly big because discomfort on the sides of your feet is terrible. I've given pairs away and sold some or trying to for that very reason. The discomfort is NOT worth it. Great insight.

I made that decision in 2020, got rid of my size 11 and smaller and only brought and kept size 12. Great topic homie 🙏🏾

I’ve been doing the same thing the last 5 years going half size bigger especially air maxes.

yes friend ! when i was a bit younger i was wearing european 44.5-45, but now even some 46-46.5 are small for me . Also brands usually are not consistent with sizes and any shoe fits unique way.

BROO. This is me right now. I’m 23 and worked at Amazon 2 years. 12hr shifts and now my sz10 sneakers fit tight. I’ve been buying my collection in a sz10.5 now slowly.

Learned this the hard way with a few Jordan 4s I hit for retail over the years. A size 11.5 just fits me way better than a size 11.

It’s funny because I was just having a discussion about this the other day. Part of the problem though, is that Nike has started making shoes smaller than before. A 12 fits like an 11.5 now. Idk if it’s the retro sizing or what but it’s forced me to go up a size as well in every Nike sneaker style.

Watched this 3 times and loved every second of it! Then played it for my wife, we both laughed and loved it! It goes way beyond sneakers, love this! You are amazing!

It’s true! When I was in my 20’s i was a 10.5 - 11. Now I’m a 12 comfortably. 11.5 in most new balances. It most shoes i need a 12 for comfort. Jordan 5’s i can wear in a 11.5. Only thing annoying is that my 12 is the money size if i miss retail. Listen to this video. The little roominess will help you from podiatrist visits…

Dude I love this topic. I was always a size 8.5 that’s what fit me comfortably. At 32 years old my shoes stopped fitting me and I am now a size 9.5 and sometimes 10. Glad I’m not the only one haha

so true, such a great video. my tip is keep some baby wipes and a brush near your collection, and give your shoes a brush and a wipe down before you put them away. keeps them looking so fresh and i barely need to actually 'clean' my shoes ever

I agree wholeheartedly. Other tips I have:

Always, try before you buy if you can

Always leave a thumbs width in the toe box

If you already have tight sneakers, loosen the laces all the way down and remove the insoles

For performance sneakers like basketball or running, keep some room for when feet swell up, but not too much room so you don't get blisters

Facts. I also tie the show tighter when they are too small. The heel is locked in and the foot doesn’t slide to the front of the shoe.

Thank you for addressing these issues as well. for me it's like i start to wear all my shoes because they age. and even if i wear a different pair of shoes every time, each shoe can be worn a maximum of 1-2 times a year

Totally agree. Went from size 9.5 to 10 because my toes kept getting squished. Because they were getting smashed my toenails would chafe against my skin. Ouch!

Factssss, I had to go up a half size after having my son…I can wear my previous size, but I can’t wear them for too long.
