I once saw a Chinese player using a technique that allowed him to start this vertical flight STILL, without first running or sliding. He was doing it inside Eden, in the beginning. And he was practicing going over the gate.
I stopped everything I was doing at the exact moment and went to give him candles and asked him to teach me such an unusual technique, but the language and cultural barrier was making everything difficult.
He recommended me a video from a Chinese platform similar to YouTube with a video of someone doing the vertical flight the way you taught here... But I still couldn't convince him to teach me how to start vertical flight, standing still.

All I can say is that every time before flying he would move like he was trying to do a Chib Fall (pushing his leg forward)...

I know how to do vertical flight and I assume with absolute certainty that it was one. But I've never seen videos of someone capable of starting one, standing still like that player.

i keep doing this by accident on PC even when im not sliding....? but its a lot harder to do it on purpose
also tried it on mobile and its WAY easier to do vertical flying there imo i literally got it first try lol

Is there a version of the steps for vertical flight for game controllers / keyboard and mouse?
I tried following along, and it's quite difficult since I'm not using phone controls lol

Is this still working? It doesn't seem to work for me. Well it did sometimes, and sometimes I flew at like 50–60° that looks like a big leap instead of vertical flying.
