The COVID-19 pandemic highlighted just how vital our healthcare workers are. Now the nation and the state of Maryland are facing a shortage of nurses. But a program at Notre Dame of Maryland University is targeted at getting new nurses on the job more quickly than usual. Paige Clark, a student in Notre Dame of Maryland University's accelerated nursing program, is well on her way to becoming a registered nurse. She knew she wanted to work in health care even before the pandemic.

Hiring LPN/RN's again in hospitals etc would be an excellent step in the right direction addressing the nursing shotage problem.
