This OP is very artistic. Only Gon, Leorio and Killua are depicted in bright colors, which indicates that the world Kurapika sees is dark and obsessed with revenge.

1999 hxh has a different energy to it- and I’m all here for that. This song is just astonishing, and for the york new city arc it just makes it even better.

The theming of this opening honestly couldn’t be any better. It’s darkness, sadness, and grittiness prepares you for the emotion this arc is gonna bring with out really spoiling anything (a common trend I find in a lot of anime openings) An excellent example of how an opening should be done
