For anyone watching this tutorial: DO NOT SPRAY IPA ON THE BELTS AS SHOWN. Use a wet IPA wipe or spray IPA onto a clean microfiber and then wipe down making sure to avoid contact with the belts.. You will thank me later. :)

This is great. Important you run the head back and forth over the wet IPA. Cleaning the rods is easy. Cleaning the bushings is the part that takes time and can only be done by what is shown.

I personally use an IPA wipe or damp rag and just keep it next to the print head and move it left and right like 50 times and make sure the rod is wet while doing this, otherwise you need a new wipe or more IPA on your rag. This way keeps the IPA off of the belts and other components that might get wet when using spray.

Really good to see Bambu providing these useful guides. Hopefully I won't need them but it's a printer I'm hoping to continue using a long time yet.

So this exact method using 91% IPA just color changed all my interior plastic covers in my 4 day old P1P. Anywhere there was overspray now looks like someone permanently sneezed inside of my machine. Lovely.

May I ask why those screws need to be loosened first? I’m pretty sure I’ve seen people moving the head left and right without doing so. Please be kind, I’m still a bit if a n00b.

Do you have torque specs for the belt tensioner screws?

What is the point of loosening the tensioners?

Is it necessary to do a separate calibration as the video shows? I thought the machine calibrates before each print (by default)?

Why not just use the screen to move the print head instead of loosing bolts? Also wouln't it be better to spay into a clean rag and wiping them rather the spraying directly into the machine?

Can you make a tutorial to replace the carbon guide? because this carbon will erode and make the extruder head wobble and have to replace it with a new one. Thanks

Do we need to add any tension on the belts beyond what the springs apply?

I think the belts will dry out faster every time you spray IPA directly on them.

Seems quite simple. Question: Is there any concern at all of the IPA degrading the belts? I know that IPA can dry out rubber, so just wondering about getting it on the belts.
