Mine says it's connected in the Oculus app under devices but I still see the black screen with the 3 dots.

This didnt work for me, I followed what you did and tried launching quest link after it said connected and active on my oculus desktop app and I still have the 3 dots.

Surprisingly worked for me. I've noticed they pretty much require you to take them out the plug them back in anyways for whatever reason. Maybe this wont be a thing in next gen versions, idk.

Im able to connect to the PC like everything is fine. I get to the PC VR thing with the menu and stuff but the button to go to the desktop while on VR isnt there. I tried everything. I updated the oculus app, i had it open, i unconnected and reconnected the wires, i restarted my vr, nothing worked. Please help me it would be so greatly apreiciated. I really need help.

i tried and it still doesnt work :( i bought a link cable with a usb3 end and a normal usb end and when i connect it it says oculus nnot found but still says active and connected, when i allow to access files it ends up being a black screen with 3 dots but when i load a game it loads perfectly fine on my laptop
