I used to do the same thing but an animal expert said the relocated squirrels would quickly be killed by other squirrels. Apparently they are very territorial and mix well with new neighbors. Just sayin

I PA it illegal to trap & release as it is considered cruel because they will starve because they don't know where to gather food.

Be careful, you could be charged for "transporting wild animals" and fined. Technically, they are rodents and it should not matter. Some game officers do not see it that way because you could be transporting diseases especially if you are going "a 100 miles"...
