"A Shot in the Dark" was, and still is, my favorite Clouseau film, and is the debut of Herbert Lom as Chief Inspector. There has never been a rivalry any more hilarious than theirs!

The best part is that in France, as well las in most countries, police and prison guards are different agencies / authorities. The police arrests, the prison guards run the prison. A prison guard can't just arrest people, because it is not police.
