Log Beehives are a MAJOR HIT!!

"That's the coolest thing I've ever seen" When you get those comments you start to believe you're doing something right. Let's get back to nature and have our honeybees work and provide for their queen and brood without our constant interference.

Making honey and growing brood requires an average hive / nest temperature of around 95 degrees. Every time you open up the hive / nest surely alters that temperature and gives the honeybee more work to regulate the temperature back to optimum?

Hello mate, great video, them marching into the entrance is always amazing to watch, I done a cutout last weekend from a neighbours front porch roof space I really would have liked to have left them there but she is allergic to bee stings so it was either me or the exterminator and I got the job just installed them into a 9 frame brood box and you never get tired of watching them march into their new house. Thank you great vlog I hope your swarm bees like there new house too .

So how do you open it and extract the honey

The hole is way too big. You can tack a block of wood into it to leave them a 3/8" by 3" slot near the bottom. They will be able to defend the hive better that way.

Very neat concept. Might get interesting getting honey out of there.

Log hives are illegal in my state. All hives have to have all removable frames. Any suggestions?

Couldn't enjoy the video and hear your comments because of the female background, non stop chatter
