A year and a half ago i watched someone do a commentary on the Shibuya incident arc.

Heard him read the description of Sukuna's Domain Expansion.

That got me into JJK.

Casting an open domain like Sukuna and Kenjaku

or

Being able to expand your domain enough to cover an opponent's open domain then enclosing and compressing it to a point which negates their advantage like Gojo did in the 3rd(?) domain clash against Sukuna?

Okay, so here's a question that's been bugging me:

While refining Domain Expansion made it more deadly, why did the original varient just...cease to exist? Why did people stop teaching it?

I understand why Hollow Wicker Basket was abandoned, in most cases Simple Domain is just better, but with Domain Expansion, it feels like since a lethal technique is so hard to get, the nonlethal, easier to use version would've stuck around and been taught to people still, since only the strongest can use a lethal domain.

It feels like maybe it was done to make Domain Expansions to exclusive inuniverse by Jujutsu Society, which wouldn't be out of character, given a lot of really useful techniques are kept locked behind bloodlines. But I'm not sure.

Any idea why that happened?

Man for a long time I thought that domain expansions nullify the other person’s curse technique. But I think that was me just misinterpreting the gojo vs jogo scene. When gojo has to block an attack. He didn’t nullify infinity, he just had a sure hit in effect. That’s crazy that Gojo could even react to something that’s as fast as a sure hit.

I wonder if not having a sure hit effect on your domain prevents you from exhausting your cursed technique, since if I recall correctly after Megumi used his domain to invade Dagon's he could still use his technique against Toji. And Hakari's and Higuruma's buffs after using their domains are still part of their technique.

If everybody has an innate domain, then how would somebody like Choko use her domain if she had one? Afaik, she has no curse technique and just has reverse curse technique. Would that mean she could guaranteed imbue targets with reverse cursed energy inside her domain? But in that case, anybody with RCT would be able to do that

I have a crazy theory guys, imagine if an incomlpete domain is an ipmortant step to use a barierless domain. Because it don't use magic barier but a physical barier to create it. So the final step is to create your incomplete domain without any type of barier (physical or other)🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
