I believe Stiff strobel boards and other slight rigid parts of any shoe not just provides structure for the shoe, but also gives the foot that “grounded” effect to eliminate having tender soles🦶removing the shoe. Same goes with foam sandals, wear sandals around the house too much and your feet sensitivity goes through the roof, making you susceptible to cuts and bruises. With This being a basketball shoe, you’re absolutely right
