Proof of Permutation Theorem - Learn Permutation Formula Derivation. This video will guide will guide you step by step in getting the proof this formula. In this previous lecture we had learnt the introduction to permutations in math, now based on that concept we are learning Permutations theorem here and we learn Permutations Formula Derivation, which is -
P(n,r) = n!/(n-r)!, here n = total number items present & r = items taken at a time.
In permutation item represent any things that is to be arranged, may be letter, words, digits, number etc.
This Permutation is very useful in solving different types of question related to permutations mathematics.
I believe this Combination and Permutation tutorial was helpful for you.

There is an error in the beginning: (n - r - 1) should be (n - r + 1) as shown later on in the video.

wait, is (n-r-1) or (n-r+1)? I think you made a mistake, if r=n then the last factor would be 1, which is correct, otherwise you double count. OOOps

This video was the best explanation I found for permutation concept, and I've been looking for a while! Great job, Really appreciate it !

Nice video, but you did not explain why you multiply 4*3*2*1. It could be 4^3^2^1 or 4+3+2+1, this is not obvious. I know the reason, but would be nice for you to explain... :)

I know I'm 11 years late but thank you so much omg
I'm learning probability theory and I can barely understand my textbook. This explanation made the permutation formula so clear

This is indeed the inductive proof of permutation theorem, although my expectations were different before clicking this video. Anywho, I still appreciate the content and your explanation. Have a good day.
